General sales and payment terms

  1. Our prices are based on current wages and costs. Should these change then we reserve the right to change our prices accordingly.
  2. A confirmation of the order is drawn up when a reservation is made and must be turned into a definite order through the deposit of 50% of the agreed purchase sum within 14 days after receipt of the written confirmation. The reservation only becomes final after receipt of the deposit.
  3. The balance of the agreed total amount is settled at the end of the cruise except when subject to other conditions. Then the balance is to be settled within 15 days after date of invoice.
  4. Should the invoice not be paid exactly on time then from the date due an interest of 1% a month of the invoice amount shall fall legally due without any forgoing proof of default. Furthermore a legally and without any forgoing proof of default a fixed amount of compensation is to be paid as damages being 10% of the invoice amount (with a minimum of 150%). Costs associated with unpaid B/E or cheques as well as other collection costs are not included in these fixed damages and, hence, shall be charged separately.  
  5. Complaints about the cruise must reach us within 8 days. A similar period of time applies to objections about the invoice. Each complaint must be in writing, and if this concerns an invoice we would be grateful if you would add the date and invoice number.
  6. In case the client annuls the cruise then the following compensation amounts are due:            
  7. 50% of the travel costs from the reservation date to 90 days prior to departure
  8. 75% of the travel costs between 90 days and 7 days prior to departure
  9. 100% of the travel costs when there are less than 7 days to departure.
  10. All the passengers must follow the instructions of the captain during boarding and disembarking as well as during the cruise. The passengers and crew are responsible for material damage and physical injury if they do not follow the captain's instructions.  The passengers are responsible for their own property such as bags, clothing. In any case there is no question of deposit of goods according to Boottochten RENI BVBA.
  11. The agreed programme is only a directive. Should it appear that the cruise programme cannot be completed, then the captain has the right to change the cruise after consulting the group leader. This could be the case due to nautical, technical or safety reasons such as fog, storm, adverse tide, engine trouble, illness, etc. The cruise programme can also be changed at the request of the group leader, though the express permission of the captain is required
  12. Should a pause of at least an hour be foreseen within the cruise programme then Boottochten RENI BVBA has the right to use the vessel for other things during this period of time.
  13. Should the planned cruise not take place because of circumstances beyond one's control such as an unforeseen technical defect, or very bad weather conditions, then the costs of the cruise shall be reimbursed within 10 days provided no other forms of compensation are provided.
  14. No drinks may be brought aboard the vessel except those subject to certain other forms of agreement and payment of a licence.
  15. Income from attractions or visits during the cruise are not included in the cost of the cruise.
  16. In case of a legal disagreement then the county court circuit of Antwerp is the competent court to hear the case, especially the justice of the peace of the 10th district.
  17. Eventual SABAM and reasonable compensation costs are for the client.
  18. At least 14 days before the event or festivities is to take place the company is to be informed of the definite number of participants. Changes to the schedule given to the company less than 5 days before departure cannot be taken into consideration and the charges for catering and cruise shall not be discounted.
  19. All prices are conditional and subject to VAT.
  20. Paper table-mats and serviettes are used for some of the meals. Should you wish linen tableware then there will be a supplementary charge of 1.60 Euros per cover.
  21. Children under 12 are charged 2/3 of the normal price. As far as table linen is concerned one extra linen cover is charged per two children.
  22. The settling of the final bill for catering and drinks takes place at the end of the event or party.
  23. You can only get cash register slips on board the vessel, meaning that guests are not permitted to bring them themselves.
  24. Extra cleaning costs will be charged if guests use flour, rice, confetti or other types of material of when people through food around. The charge is a minimum of 100 Euros and 28 Euros per hour
  25. Menu and name cards and special flower arrangements are to be paid by the client and he/she will provide them.
  26. Due to circumstance the probable vessel can be exchanged for another vessel with the same capacity or even bigger.
